Welcome! My name is Deanne Eisenman and I am the owner and designer for Snuggles Quilts. This is my second year taking part in By Annie’s #SewPink Initiative. (Here is my project from last year, Courage) I was excited to take part again and create a new project for breast cancer awareness. I have two family members that are breast Cancer survivors so this is a cause close to my heart.
My favorite type of pattern I create now is a mini wool applique on fabric wall hanging. I call these patterns my “Snugg-lets”. They are no larger than 14 x 16″. They are quick and easy projects that can be done in a few days! So, since it’s my favorite, I decided to make my project for this year’s #SewPink Initiative a Snugg-let! Here it is:

This is a 12 1/2 x 14 1/2″ mini wall hanging. The background is a pieced pink ribbon surrounded by a pieced geese border. I call this pattern: Snugg-let Hope & Love. This is a physical pattern but it is also available at my shop as a PDF download!
I chose the saying that I embroidered on the wall hanging, “From hope & love comes courage & strength”, because I feel that with the love and hope from family and friends, anything is possible. Their hope and love feeds your courage and strength in the battle.
Here are a few photos from creating my pattern:

Because of my family history, I am vigilant myself when it comes to exams and tests for early detection. There have been great advancements over the years like 3D mammograms and MRI guided biopsies (both of which I have had). These advancements could not be made without funds raised from initiatives like this. I am grateful to all who work in this field of study to hopefully someday find a cure.
1 in 8 women in their lifetime will be diagnosed with breast cancer…. and you do not have to have a strong family history to be one of those women. That is why I urge you to do the self-exams and make that yearly mammogram visit at the minimum.
Now for the fun…… comment below and be entered in a drawing for a free pattern for Snugg-let Hope & Love and my Courage pattern from last year! There will also be a special 30% off coupon for any wool kit in my shop. The drawing will be on Monday, November 2nd. So you have plenty of time to enter! ***We have a winner! Congrats, Mary Strong!***

I love the saying you added!
I’m a 22year survivor! I have never done any quilt related breast cancer ribbon, I think the snugglet hope and love pattern is fabulous! Going to make this one😊
I’m a 25 year breast cancer survivor. I’m looking forward to making this quilt. Thank you, for all you do!
Thank you for participating in this effort to get the word out! My great aunt was a survivor after a dual radical mastectomy. She was one of the strongest and most hopeful women I know. I’m so grateful for the research that gave her so many happy years after her surgery. Now my niece is a survivor too. Get ’em checked ladies! Catch it early.
This is a wonderful wall hanging. I browsed your shop – such a great amount of patterns there. Thank you.
I love this pattern! I too have a family history, & am ever vigilant when it comes to exams & yearly mammograms. We all need to be! I would like to make one of these for my niece, who was just diagnosed a few weeks ago.
