Deanne will speak about her quilting history and her love of appliqué and scrap quilting. She will share some tips and techniques for successful "scrapping"!
Lecture Time: Approximately 45 minutes including a show and tell trunk show
2018 and 2019 Fees: $200 plus travel expenses (mileage from north Iowa and lodging if necessary). Negotiable flat fee for lecture/mileage/lodging for travel over 500 miles away from Deanne's home base.
Class Fees: Base fee of $100 plus $20 per student (includes pattern unless otherwise noted) plus travel expenses if workshop is not booked with a lecture.
Class Size: A minimum of 5 students is required for a workshop that is not booked with a lecture. A maximum of 25 students accepted.

Warm & Wooly Welcome
This workshop focuses on wool appliqué on fabric. Students can make colorful, large seasonal banners that can be displayed alone or on the pieced background. Class includes tips and techniques for successful stitching!
This workshop focuses on needle-turn hand appliqué and accurate piecing. Students can choose to bring their machine and work on piecing the blocks or they can just bring the strips of background fabric and focus solely on appliqué. Class includes tips for preparing templates, making bias stems, preparing appliqué motifs for stitching, etc.
Additional cost of $18 for the corresponding book (includes 8 other patterns!)
