My next featured new patterns are my mini wool appliqué patterns I call “Snugg-lets”. These are quick and easy! There is a simple pieced background and a cute wool appliqué motif to finish it off. Here’s the first on called “Bless this House”:
The next one is called “Simple Blessings”:
And finally, we have “Simple Life”:
The first two minis measure 12 x 14″ and make cute wall hangings. The last mini measures 14 x 14″ and can be a wall hanging or a small table topper/candle mat.
What inspired these? Well, I have been creating wool appliqué on fabric patterns for a while now, but all those patterns have been larger projects. I thought it would be fun to create something on a smaller scale and with a smaller price! These patterns only retail for $7.00. The other inspiration is that I have found that I love creating cute motifs in wool and, since wool appliqué tends to be easier than needle-turn hand appliqué, these minis appeal to busy quilters.
So, check out my Snugg-lets and let me know what you think! Tell me your favorite thing about wool appliqué and win one of the patterns along with this little package of wool appliqué supplies:
5 wool charms, 1 Valdani Perle Cotton ball and a package of chenille needles size 22, my preferred needle. Be sure to comment to be in the drawing! The winner will be chose next Tuesday, October 24th. Stay tuned!
**We have a winner! Carol Shaw, congratulations!**
Happy Quilting!

I love the simple blessings quilt and would love to make that one! It is very sweet!
I just love everything you put out!!! you challenge me to be a better quilter every day!!!
I love all your quilts. But your posts always make me laugh with the pictures of your kitty hanging close to your sewing. I have 6 indoor cats and they behave like yours. It can be annoying to sew random cat hairs into my quilts or when you just had a strip cut out and you can’t find it anywhere, so you take a bathroom break, only to find the strip all the way down the hall, you can only laugh! Kitties….
Love everything you do Deanne.
I love the wall hangings. Fun to hang some of the projects on there walls where they can be enjoyed each time I walk by.
Beautiful.
It’s almost wool season in Houston. Ready! Great patterns!
Snugg-lets are a wonderful idea. I love small projects and quick finishes–“It’s what I do”….
Hi. I am a newbie to wool but just love the look to the project. Your new patterns look perfect for a beginner like myself and something I could tackle. They are so cute and I really like how you incorporated the quilt blocks! Thanks!
I love these and they are not too daunting! I think I can do them!
I have never used wool for applique. I love the look of it though.
They are all so cute but I am partial to the sheep in Simple Blessings. I love smaller projects that can be completed and begin enjoying them fairly quickly!
I love them all and enjoy doing smaller projects.
I really like them all. The size also makes great gifts. Thank you for holding this contest.
