2018 BOM – Time to Finish!

Today is the day that you receive the final instructions for my 2018 BOM. Block 12 is not necessarily a block, but is the wool applique border added to block 7. Here it is:

Once you complete this border, then you can put the entire 2018 BOM wall hanging together! Here’s is what it looks like:

I hope you enjoyed this journey with me. Make sure you collect all the block patterns if you need to catch up. Once I start posting information on the 2019 BOM, the 2018 BOM blocks will no longer be available for free. The patterns will be for sale as a .pdf download at the end of January in my Craftsy Store. I will keep you updated for when that happens.

So, for now, get your instructions and enjoy finishing up this year’s BOM! See you in 2019.

New Block of the Month Block! Block 9 is Here!

Hi everyone,

It’s mid-September so it’s now time to reveal Block 9 of my 2018 BOM. Yes, there’s snowfall in this block….hopefully we won’t get snow yet though.

Enjoy stitching this block and get ready for month 10. Month 10 and 11 will be a bit different as they are the top and bottom long panels. We’re nearing the end of this fun project! Month 12 will be putting it all together and adding some fun wool applique embellishments to the sashings.

Block #2 of my 2018 BOM is Here!

It’s the 15th of the month and you know what that means …. the reveal of the next block of the month block for my 2018 BOM. This block is a cute farm scene that reminds me of spring. Blooming flowers and new babies on the farm!

Let’s Get Excited for the 2018 BOM!

Hello! It’s getting close to that time….. 2018 BOM time, that is. Are you excited? I am really excited to share this new project with you and hope you will follow along throughout the year to make this. Once again, it’s a wool applique wall hanging. This one is called Old Town Square. Here are the blocks. They have been stitched but not put together yet. This just gives you a sneak peek.

There are 11 blocks and for the final month (December) we will be adding embellishments to the sashing strips. 

To get started, I have created some starter instructions that you can find here: 2018 BOM Starter Instructions

Here are the fabrics I used for this project. I am not guaranteeing you will find the same ones because fabric turnover in the quilt shops happens quickly, but this gives you the names in case some of the shops you frequent still have some.

Use a combination of greys like I did or use a combination of your favorite fabrics!

So, get prepared and watch this space on January 15th for the instructions for the first block!
